I just wanted to share this because the art-style is so hilarious to me:
[link]It's from a series of "Super Mario-kun" manga available only in Japan. The series covers a great number of Mario video games ranging from Super Mario World and Super Mario Sunshine to the Paper Mario titles in its bizarre comedic style. And despite actually including many elements borrowed directly from the games, it's not in the least bit faithful to the characters or their respective abilities and personalities lol. For example: Mario attempts to scorch an enemy with a fireball (without the aid of a fire flower) but can only manage a harmless puff of smoke. To solve the problem, quick-thinking Luigi rams what I assume is a gas tank up Mario's ass... and yeah that works. Another example (which was probably the funniest part of what I read) involves Mario suggesting that he and Luigi escape while a piranha plant eats Yoshi. Nope, not in the least bit true-to-character lol, but strangely amusing all the same.
And thanks most of all for being you
